Grown Folks Music - Released

Grown Folks Music's release was a long time in the making. After his 2006 release "In Your Eyes" and live tour, Amit Apte took a break from his solo music and set his eyes on producing upcoming artists. 6 years and roughly 3 albums worth of music later, Amit got the itch to release some of his own music. He has always been drawn to a throwback sound where the sound is less focused on slick synthesizers, but more on songwriting and organic instruments. Being a little older and getting married along the way, the subject matter in the songs also evolved. Although having fun is a theme, getting serious about that special someone is also a sentiment that is weaved throughout the set of songs. The collection features the smooth poetic rhymes of Chicago based MC Hassahn Phenomenon.
